FAQ

Q: Will you collect my dog?

A: Absolutely! I'll gladly pick up your furry friend and we'll head to a nearby park or trail. Depending on the services booked, we may even have some other dogs joining us along the way. To keep things exciting for your dog, I like to explore different parks that are close by. If you won't be home during the pickup, I'll need a spare key for entry.

Q: are treats and bags included?

A: Yes, indeed! Treats and bags are included in my service. I use Denzel's peanut butter, banana & kale treats (compostable bag). These treats are made with 100% natural ingredients, ensuring a healthy and delicious reward for your furry friend. The treats contain chickpea flour, peanut butter, sweet potato, vegetable glycerine, fresh banana, dried carrot, and kale. Pictures and links are at the bottom of the page.

Q: How are payments made?

A: For Ad-hoc bookings, to secure your preferred date and time, please make immediate payment upon booking. your reservation will only be confirmed once payment is received and added to my schedule.

For recurring bookings on the same days and times each week a minimum of one week must be paid in advance, with payment due no later than Friday for the upcoming week.

Q: Do you do dog boarding?

A: Unfortunately, dog boarding is not a service I currently provide.

Q: To qualify for the multiple dogs discount do the dogs need to be from the same owner?

A: Not at all! As long as I can collect them from the same home, whether they belong to you or a friend visiting your home, you will still qualify for the multiple dogs discount.

Q: how many dogs do you walk at once during group walks?

A: During group walks, I walk a maximum of six dogs, which includes my own dog. This ensures their safety and allows me to provide equal attention and supervision. Depending on the needs and safety of the dogs, the number may be reduced on certain group walks.

Q: my dog needs feeding but I'd still like them to be socialised. Do they need to go on a solo walk?

A: If your dog requires supervision while eating, a solo walk would be necessary. However, if you let me know in advance, I can try to bring my dog, Charlie, along on the walk so that your dog has a companion to play with. If your dog only needs their bowl filled on the way out, this can be done during a group walk.

Q: Do you only do overnight dog sitting?

A: With the solo walk option, I can provide whatever care your dog needs within reason. Whether it's putting out some food, engaging in playtime, or giving them lots of attention, I'm here to cater to their needs. If they don't require a walk, we can stay in or go for a shorter outing.

Q: When does the walk start?

A: The hour/hours of the walk begin as soon as we begin the walk. If travelling by vehicle this is when we arrive at the park or trail. Otherwise, it begins when we set off walking from their home. This way, your dog gets to enjoy their full-time outdoors. Please note that collection/drop off time is not included, so consider this if you have a specific time requirement for your dog's return.

q: do I need to provide anything?

A: Please ensure that a harness or collar, a dog tag with your name and address, and a lead are provided for your dog. If your dog isn’t trained to recall then an extendable lead is preferred so that they still have the freedom to run and explore.

Q: What size dogs do you take?

A: I'm delighted to accommodate dogs of all shapes and sizes! However, I do ask that your dog is sufficiently trained. Excessive pulling during walks may pose safety risks and could result in the walk being cancelled.

Q: DO YOU DO walks for under an hour?

A: The minimum duration for a walk is one hour. However, if your dog requires a shorter walk, such as a puppy in need of some playtime, and you book a solo walk, we can split the time between a shorter walk and quality time at home for play, strokes, cuddles, and a meal. I also provide a drop-in service to let your dog have a toilet break in the garden and give them some attention.

Q: Do you go on walks when it's RAINING?

A: Rain or shine, I'm committed to providing walks for your dogs. However, I recommend providing a towel and raincoat for your dog's comfort. While I typically have towels with me, I can't guarantee that a dry one will always be available. During the summer months, water will be provided to keep them hydrated.

Q: Does my dog need to be neutered/spayed?

A: No, it's not a requirement for your dog to be neutered or spayed. However, if your dog is in season, please notify me in advance. During this time, your dog will need to go on a solo walk unless accompanied by other dogs from the same household. I take no responsibility for any incidents related to pregnancy.

Q: WHAT IF MY DOG HAS SPECIAL NEEDS OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS?

A: If your dog has special needs or specific medical conditions, please provide me with all the necessary details during the booking process. I will do my best to accommodate their needs and ensure their safety and well-being during the walk.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DOG IS reactive OR DOESN'T GET ALONG WITH OTHER DOGS?

A: If your dog has reactivity issues or doesn't get along well with other dogs, please let me know in advance. In such cases, I offer 1-2-1 walks to ensure the safety and comfort of your dog, as well as the other dogs in my care. I will work closely with you to understand your dog's behaviour and provide a tailored walking experience.

A: Absolutely! I understand that weekends and bank holidays can be busy times for pet owners. I offer dog walking services seven days a week, including weekends and most holidays. Simply let me know your requirements, and I will do my best to accommodate your dog's needs.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXTREME?

A: Your dog's safety is my top priority. In cases of extreme weather conditions, such as severe storms, extreme heat, or icy conditions, I may need to modify or cancel the walk for the well-being of your dog. I will always assess the situation and make decisions in the best interest of their safety.
